Don't you trust the government!?

If you think your grocery bills have doubled in the last four years, you do not live in the real world. pic.twitter.com/4EheGoRWxy

I knew the following would come in handy one day.
Sale price increases in Ontario, Canada:
January 2020 --> August 2021 --> March 2022 --> August 2024
Eggs (12): $2 --> $2.8 --> $3 --> $3.5
Milk (4L): $4 --> $4.7 --> $5.3 --> $6.1
Butter (1lb): $3 --> $3.5 --> $4.3 --> $6
Coke (6 x 710ml): $2 --> $2.8 --> $3.3 --> $4
Potatoes (10 lbs): $2 --> $4 --> $5 --> $5
TV dinner (300g): $2 --> $3 --> $3.5 --> $4
Peanut butter (1kg): $3 --> $4.5 -->$5 --> $5
Chicken legs (1 lb): $1.5 --> $2.5 --> $3 --> $4
Lean ground beef (1 lb): $3 --> $5 --> $5.5 --> $6
Prime rib roast (1 lb): $5 --> $7 --> $9 --> $10
So, in four and a half years, the cumulative inflation rate for my grocery basket is ... 101%! Yeah, double is exactly right. People are, literally, providing this clown with their online receipts and numbers but he's just going, "Nuh uh"!
Reminds me of those retarded pundits in the media who point to the low crime rate "stats" while the average person suffers because the police don't even bother recording many of the crimes.
