The future of big cities in America

Many Twitter employees feel unsafe coming to work in downtown SF and have had their car windows smashed.

They also got such a null response from the police that they rarely even bother reporting crimes anymore, because nothing happens.

It's quite something to read of idiots who point to the official crime statistics to prove that it's not so bad while the police hang up on calls and victims eventually don't even bother calling the cops.
