Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony recently said that Pakistan’s religious minorities enjoy full religious freedom in Pakistan.

It's somewhat amusing that total religious freedom is against Islamic rules but he has to lie on the global stage and not bring attention to the ugly reality:

Pakistan’s constitution bans any religious minority from holding the role of president, prime minister or chief justice – a blatantly discriminatory measure that sends a message throughout Pakistani society on the role and status of religious minorities.

Imagine the fake outrage if the US decided that only Christians could hold political office.

What are we chasing?

What a bunch of incompetent buffoons:

Match officials had to stop play in unprecedented circumstances soon after Bangladesh began their chase in the second T20I in Napier, as they were unsure what their actual target was. Play had to stop nine balls into Bangladesh's innings against New Zealand because even then it wasn't clear whether their revised target was 148, 170 or 171.

This surprised me:

"[When we met the match referee] they were still waiting for the printouts and calculations to take place. I think if you are waiting, the game can't start before you get it. What was explained now was that they normally get it one or two balls into the innings, but hadn't received it yet. They were waiting for it. There were delays and all sorts of stuff. No excuses [for the defeat], but this is just very frustrating for us.

Why don't the officials and the playing teams have a simple software program that shows the dynamic par and winning scores as the first innings goes past the ten overs? Why the hell are they "waiting for the printouts and calculations" in an international game?

Another reason why I've never bought any product from Apple:

I wasn't surprised to hear that the SSD is non-modular. That's Apple being Apple. What did shock me was the sheer amount of writes on the drive. What the hell is the operating system doing? The SSD is going to be toast way too soon and then the customer will be forced to buy a whole new laptop.

Also, 8GB of RAM in 2021? Utterly mediocre.

Diversity Inclusion Equity (DIE)

White people have to learn to DIE:

A Minnesota theater has canceled an upcoming performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s "Cinderella" over concerns regarding the cast's lack of diversity. [...]

"It was 98 percent white," Michael Brindisi, the theater's artistic director, told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. "That doesn’t work with what we’re saying we’re going to do."

Still waiting for the NBA and NFL to be cancelled because they're 75% colored.

This logic is particularly rich:

The theater also announced new diversity protocols it will be implementing going forward, including bringing Black, Indigenous and other artists of color to analyze future productions before they begin the casting process.

"We believe this new process will allow us to tell the story in a rich way and allow us to live out our commitment to identity-conscious casting and becoming a more intentionally anti-racist theater," the statement reads.

Anti-racist = Intentionally cancelling projects that have too many White people. 

It begs the question: What's the proper percentage of White people that will not get a project cancelled? 25%? 10%? Of course, such a requirement won't apply to any other race since that would be racist.

I am a liberal, White, upper-middle-class parent, and we live in a mixed-income, racially integrated urban neighborhood. When it came time to enroll our daughter in high school, we selected a school that was majority Black because it was close by, and we rejected the notion of getting caught up in which magnet school was most prestigious. Our daughter had a horrible time there—she was harassed so much that we had to pull her out, and other non-Black students there were victimized because of their race. I am struggling to make sense of the experience.

The answer is simple: White supremacy!

Bitcoin crashed from $20,000 to $3,000 in a one-year period starting from late 2017. If that happens again, then Tesla will be very happy to refund in Bitcoin.

Yup. Bitcoin has been the most spectacular gamble of the last decade but it's not a currency given its volatility: down 16% in just the last two weeks.

White Privilege strikes again!

White people who're poor get no checks in Oakland:

A program to give $500 monthly checks to low-income families of color in Oakland, California, has been criticized for explicitly excluding the 10,000 white residents living in poverty in the city.

The lottery system, funded by private philanthropists, will see the no-strings-attached checks go to households with an annual income of less than $59,000 if they have at least one child. The other half of the $500 checks will go to those earning under $30,000.

According to data from an Oakland Equity Indicators Report, cited by officials to justify favoring people of color, white households earn about three times that of African-American ones.

White people who're straight will get no confirmation:

It makes perfect sense for White people to break apart and form their own country. What other choice do they have when organizations and the federal government openly and explicitly discriminate against them?

Not enough juice

When Toyota offers an opinion on the car market, it’s probably worth listening to. This week, Toyota reiterated an opinion it has offered before. That opinion is straightforward: The world is not yet ready to support a fully electric auto fleet.

Toyota’s head of energy and environmental research Robert Wimmer testified before the Senate this week, and said: “If we are to make dramatic progress in electrification, it will require overcoming tremendous challenges, including refueling infrastructure, battery availability, consumer acceptance, and affordability.”

The US has enough trouble in consistently generating electric power at current levels.

Electrifying the auto fleet will require a massive overhaul of the power grid and an enormous increase in power generation. Elon Musk recently said we might need double the amount of power we’re currently generating if we go electric.

Thanks to the government, we won't see double the generation which means that electricity prices will go up a lot more soon.

The suspect in the mass shooting at a grocery store in Boulder on Monday has been identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Al-Issa from Arvada. Ten people, including one police officer, were killed at the King Soopers store at Table Mesa Drive and South Broadway.

According to media reports, there has been a mass shooting. As of now, it is unclear how bad the mass shooting is, or whether anyone should care about it-- since authorities have not yet released the skin colors of the perpetrator and the victims.

"It's possible this could be a horrific mass shooting we will talk about for years to come," said one news anchor. "On the other hand, it may just be a run-of-the-mill mass shooting that we'll forget by tomorrow since it doesn't fit the narrative we are trying to sell right now. A teacher is shocked that barbarians tolerate barbarism:

On Saturday October 17, 2020, the day after Samuel Paty’s assassination, the teacher noticed the students’ indifference to what had happened the day before. For most, the assassination of this teacher based on the lies of a teenager, was just an “event” and they treated it like a banal news item.

“Until then, I had not been fully aware of the new reality, namely the tolerance of the new generations to barbarism,” the teacher admitted.

“However, in homage to Samuel Paty, and for educational purposes, I then planned a selection, my choice, among the less raw caricatures of Muhammad. To my knowledge, there were no Muslims in my class. A student asked me if I was not afraid. And when I told him no, he said: ‘My father is going to behead you!'”.

Westerners need to read a little history. Muslims have been slaughtering people for blasphemy for centuries. For most, a geographical change from Asia or Africa to Europe doesn't change those deeply held beliefs.

There is a man in Canada who can only be alluded to as He Who Shall Not Be Named: Robert Hoogland. For the sake of natural justice, it is important to speak this man's name. He is now the Canadian state's prison of conscience. The warrant was issued by a judge for the arrest of a father after calling his biological female child his "daughter," and referring to her with the pronouns "she" and "her." Hoogland was found to be in contempt of court.

Canada has made it official: You can travel abroad to torture, rape, and murder people, and then come back to face zero consequences but don't you dare refer to a girl as "she" or "her" because that's real violence!

Boden's court held that the father's consent was irrelevant. The judge went a step further, declaring that the girl's parents must affirm their child's "gender identity," and refer to the child as though the fact of her being a gender non-conforming biological female who identifies as transgender means that the child is a boy. If he did not, the parents would be implicated of the criminal offense of family violence.

Absolutely disgusting.

[...] group-egalitarians claim that, absent injustice, we should have equal representation of groups in every human enterprise. But how can that be? If groups matter, some people are going to bounce a basketball 100,000 times a month and other people are going to bounce it 10,000 times a month. If groups matter, their members will not do the same things, believe the same things, think the same things, or act and react in the same ways. Groups have their own integrity, expressing themselves in how they live their lives, raise their children, and spend their time. This will inevitably result in a different presence of groups across various human activities. They will not have similar occupational or professional profiles. They will not be present in the same proportions as members of the National Academy of Sciences, as tenured faculty members, as tech entrepreneurs, hedge-fund managers, small shopkeepers, single parents, or petty criminals.

More government power is the objective. The government will decide who is punished: those horrible White men and women. Who gets the $$$$? The Poor Oppressed Coloreds, of course. The malignant unifying force of the colored coalition of the Left is seething hatred of White people. The votes will flow to the Democrats and the stolen trillions of dollars will flow to the POC.

With hundreds of thousands of women still out of work because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CEO of a Canadian construction company hopes more women will consider entering male-dominated skilled trades.

"We have a systemic trade shortage right now," says Mandy Rennehan, the founder and chief executive of Freshco, a construction company that specializes in retail maintenance. "That's why I'm focusing on trying to get more women into trades."

I bet the CEO is overwhelmed with applications from STRONG, INDEPENDENT, and FIERCE women who totally love working outside in the wonderful Canadian weather.

My first laptop in 1998 had a 2.1GB hard drive. Now, we have 20TB hard drives and there's more to come:

Seagate recently published its long-term technology roadmap revealing plans to produce ~50 TB hard drives by 2026 and 120+ TB HDDs after 2030. In the coming years, Seagate is set to leverage usage of heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR), adopt bit patterned media (BPM) in the long term, and to expand usage of multi-actuator technology (MAT) for high-capacity drives.

The capacity jumps over the past two decades have been phenomenal.

Seagate and Western Digital have been looking to radically increase sequential and random performance of HDDs by installing more than one actuator, with multiple read/write heads into one drive. Seagate's Mach.2 technology — which embraces two actuators — can almost double IOPS-per-TB performance of a hard drive and substantially increase its sequential read/write speeds.

Soon, we'll have mainstream SSDs with sustained transfer speeds of two gigabytes per second. Most hard drives manage only 10% of that. They're basically separate beasts. Nowadays, one should get both for the desktop: an SSD for the main drive and the hard drive for extra storage and backup. However, for most laptop buyers, solid state disks are a superior choice because of speed. Plus, who wants to carry around a slow 20TB drive in their laptop anyway?

A lethal lie

The 13-year-old student who claimed that her teacher showed Muslim students a naked depiction of the prophet Muhammad has admitted that she was lying. This lie led to the beheading of that teacher.

Why did she make up a story that resulted in murder?

According to Mbeko Tabula, the lawyer representing the 13-year-old, the teen wasn't even in class when the alleged incident she described would have taken place. [...]

According to Le Parisien, the student was suspended from class that day for not attending classes, but she was afraid to tell that to her father. That's when she told the lies that cost the teacher his life.

As far as we know, none of the other Muslim students came forward to say the simple truth. They didn't care. They watched, and likely cheered, as their infidel teacher was maligned, intimidated, and murdered.

Piers Morgan doesn't apologize for what he thinks:

Hours after it was broadcast Mr Morgan branded Meghan 'Princess Pinocchio' after the Duchess said she was suicidal while five months pregnant but was denied any help by the palace. She also accused the Royal Family of being concerned Archie's skin would be too 'dark' and denying him the title of prince because he is mixed race, with Mr Morgan demanding the Sussexes back up their claims with evidence.

His views, and his refusal to back down in the row, sparked more than 41,000 complaints made to Ofcom, fuelled by an orchestrated social media campaign spearheaded by his critics including several Labour MPs.

Cricket Australia has marked International Women's Day by committing to addressing gender imbalances in the game, including the lack of statues of female cricketers around the country.

The governing body said there were 73 statues or sculptures of male cricketers in Australia compared to none of women, but that imbalance would soon be reduced a little with pieces commissioned for the country's two best-known grounds.

Failures on multiple levels:

A Baltimore high school senior allegedly was surprised to find out he won’t be graduating this year — in fact, he’ll be heading back to ninth grade.

That’s because his current grade point average is a 0.13. He passed three classes during his four years of high school. Tiffany France, the student’s mother, was shocked about the situation too. [...]

France said she found out only last month about her son returning to 9th grade. And, incredibly, even with that GPA, her son ranks in the upper half of his class academically.
