What's amazing about this whole case is that this adult woman isn't allowed the basic freedom to decide her religion. She was never a Muslim and she isn't one today but the courts and the government will continue to count her as one.

The Philippines has demanded an explanation for Kuwait's decision to expel its ambassador amid a dispute over the treatment of domestic workers.

A Calgary toddler who died after being left alone in a car seat in a closet for five hours was likely "trying to get out" when she became entangled in the straps, a court was told Monday.

Ten people are dead and 15 others are injured after a van driver plowed into a number of pedestrians Monday in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area of North York in Toronto.
One suspect is in custody.
CBC News has confirmed that Alek Minassian, a 25-year-old Richmond Hill, Ont., man, is the alleged driver in the attack. His LinkedIn profile identifies him as a student at Seneca College.

Police have arrested a suspect after a white van mounted the curb and struck numerous pedestrians in Toronto.
The incident happened on Yonge Street south of Finch Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Toronto Police Service.
Toronto is in serious need of common sense van control.
Sunnybrook Hospital issued a statement saying that it’s trauma centre had received seven patients after “an incident involving a van striking a number of pedestrians.”
The unnamed and not-described suspect didn't have time to escape:
Video shared with CTV News shows the suspect pointing a small, dark object at police, with his back to the van. Police can be seen taking cover behind their vehicle and shouting at him to get down.
“Get down!” the officer is heard shouting.
“I have a gun in my pocket,” the suspect can be heard saying.
