A cruel woman has been detained by police in Kuwait for filming her Ethiopian maid falling from the seventh floor in an apparent suicide attempt without trying to rescue her.
The Kuwaiti woman filmed her maid land on a metal awning and survive, then posted the incident on social media, Al-Seyassah newspaper reported.

After a Muslim woman was successful in passing an "Islamophobia motion" in the Canadian parliament, a Muslim woman in Australia is pushing for a more severe law.
An Australian MP has called for tougher speech laws so that it is illegal to offend Muslims because of their religion.
So, does this mean that Muslims in Australia will be punished for their genocidal rhetoric against Jews and Christians? Of course not. The authorities will simply ignore them.
As Heat Street has previously reported, the Australian government is mounting a push to rewrite the legislation so that words must “harass or intimidate” before they become a matter for the courts.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the legislation in question – Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act – has “lost its credibility” and needs to change.
However, Aly proposes doing the opposite – keeping the lower standard for the law, and adding “religion” to the current list of “race, colour or national or ethnic origin”.
The real purpose here is to go after right wing Nazis white infidels who wish to protect and preserve their civilization. Who is Ayaz, though? He is a religious scholar and ex-Muslim. He pursued religious training after standard, mainstream education. He was admitted to an Islamic studies school. He began to doubt the authenticity of the claims of his faith at the time.
I suspect that not being an easy thing to undergo or endure, especially being part of an orthodox religious family. Even with the doubts, he accomplished accreditation in the Islamic studies. He was not only a religious scholar in general, but an Islamic scholar in particular.

24 Huddersfield men and 2 women charged after girls as young as 11 were raped and sexually abused.
West Yorkshire Police say the men face numerous offences including rape, trafficking with intent to engage in sexual exploitation, sexual activity with a child, child neglect, child abduction, supply of Class A drugs and possession and making of indecent images of children.
The allegations against the defendants are historic sexual offences, having occurred between 2004 and 2011 and relate to 18 women.
The offences were committed against them as children in the Huddersfield area and are alleged to have taken place while the women were aged between 11 and 17.

An Afghan migrant who murdered his Swedish girlfriend’s father and attempted to kill her mother is likely to be given a short jail sentence. He “could easily be out by summer 2018”, according to criminology professor Leif GW Persson.
Three years in jail total for a) one murder, and b) one attempted murder.
The "migrant" was 18 years old when he committed the crimes.
This reminds me of Belgium. In 2010, a Muslim with an AK-47 was robbing a bank. Police showed up. He fired a shot that injured a cop. He committed three major crimes: a) possession of an automatic rifle, b) robbery, and c) shooting a police officer.

A CBC News investigation has found many Canadian universities received few or no complaints of racial discrimination on campus over the past five years, but experts and students — and even a couple of the universities — say the low numbers aren't necessarily a sign of racial harmony.

On Monday, dozens of tourists from Malaysia came by bus to visit the Lamteh Mosque in Banda Aceh to witness a dozen people getting publicly caned for crimes ranging from gambling to ikhtilat (the intermingling of men and women who are not married).
It wouldn't be surprising when they start publicly beheading people for the horrible crime of drinking alcohol. That should make the tourist numbers skyrocket.
Canada's transport minister says the federal government is taking a close look at the circumstances behind efforts in the United States and the U.K. to ban certain electronic devices from carry-on baggage.
But Marc Garneau is stopping short of saying whether Canada will follow the lead of the two countries in banning the devices from flights originating in six countries in the Middle East and Africa.
The U.K. government says it is imposing the new aviation security measures on all inbound direct flights from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
That follows a similar U.S. ban on "any phones, laptops or tablets larger than a normal-sized mobile or smartphone" inside the aircraft cabin.
What type of intel led to this specific ban? Off the top of my head: Batteries, in phones, tablets, and laptops, can be punctured to start fires. Perhaps, there was chatter about this sort of thing among Muslims.

Reuters reported on Monday that the move had been under consideration since the U.S. government learned of a threat several weeks ago.
