A gunman has reportedly opened fire inside a nightclub in Istanbul during New Year's Eve celebrations.

At least 35 people have been killed and another at least 40 people have been injured in the attack, according to the Istanbul governor.

Two armed men were involved in the attack, reported NTV, and an operation is ongoing to capture an assailant who is still inside the club. Those men may have been dressed in "Santa costumes", eyewitnesses told CNN Turk.

According to an Oxfam study, very few rich western countries have taken action to resettle nearly five million Syrian refugees living in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. Fewer than 130,000 Syrians have been resettled so far, in spite of promises by western countries to take action and do more.

Canada ranked in first place of all western countries in terms of the number of Syrians it has resettled since the refugee crisis unfolded. As of December 10, 2015, the Trudeau government has welcomed 37,402 Syrian refugees, of whom 20,110 were government-assisted refugees, 13,481 privately sponsored refugees and 3,811 blended visa office-referred refugees. The Syrian refugee resettlement initiative was the centrepiece of Justin Trudeau’s election campaign.

I thought Tunisia was supposed to be a "moderate" Muslim country?

Under Tunisian law, having sex with anyone under the age of 15 is a punishable offense, and can land the guilty party in prison for up to six years. But a legal loophole allows the rapist to evade prosecution by marrying the victim.

The asinine law results in this sick case of "justice":

A 13-year-old girl's marriage to her adult step-brother after he impregnated her is sparking outrage in Tunisia.

A local court in Kef, Tunisia ruled that the unnamed girl, who is two years below the age of consent, "is considered fit for marriage" and permitted the pair to get married.

Rape and then marry your pregnant 13-years-old sister and avoid jail! That poor unborn kid.

More innocents are slaughtered in Merkel's Germany:

A truck plowed into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin Monday night, killing at least nine people and injuring dozens of others in what witnesses described as a deliberate attack.

The large Scania truck with a Poland license plate crashed into the market outside the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Television footage showed the truck with its windshield smashed out on the sidewalk alongside the market, with a swarm of ambulances nearby. A large Christmas tree with a gold star on top was toppled over nearby in the street, and tree branches were crushed under the truck's tires.

Police said a suspect believed to be the driver was arrested nearby and a passenger was dead. Authorities estimated that 50 people were injured, but an exact number was not immediately available.

Liberal conclusion: We need truck control.

Last month, a Christmas market in the town of Ludwigshafen was the target of a bombing attempt.

Prosecutors said a 12-year-old Iraqi boy attempted to blow up a device at the local Christmas market on Nov. 26. The device failed to detonate, so the boy tried again on Dec. 5. The device was hidden in a rucksack filed with nails and placed in a bush near the town hall.

The suspect is a Pakistani refugee who arrived in Germany earlier this year.

The Euro elite were right: the rapefugees are good for the economy!

Gun stores have reported a quadruple growth in the sales of firearms, with some owners attributing the sales to a spike in violent crime.

During an interview with NRATV, Jeffrey Pang, who works for Austria's oldest firearms store, linked the rise in the self-defence market to "the immigrant crisis in Europe".

I wonder which gender feels unsafe?

The employee at the firearm store Joh Springers added: "Following the rise in attacks, customers want pepper sprays, combat training, small concealed carry weapons. "

Mr Pang said the biggest growth market for gun owners was among women who felt unsafe outside.

It's difficult for a rapefugee to rape when he's just had his balls shot off.
