Australia vs. India
Jan 15, 2012
One stat tells the whole story:
There have been nine 50-plus scores in the series for each team. Australia's four best scores, though, are 329*, 180, 150* and 134. India's top four scores are 83, 80, 75, and 73.
Here's another:
In the last 13 months, India have lost five Tests by an innings: one in South Africa, and two each in England and Australia ... Between October 2001 and March 2008 India didn't lose a single Test by an innings.
The Indians simply don't have the bowlers who can contain the English and Aussie batsmen. End result: innings defeats.
"The Indians simply don't have the bowlers who can contain the English and Aussie batsmen. End result: innings defeats."
Our recent defeats is due to our miserable batting.
With the big 3 staring at their end, future of indian batting looks bleak.
BTW between Dec 1983 and Jan 2000 India did not lose a single test in innings.

Good point about the batting; their Golden Age is coming to an end.
Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman are close to retirement which means a lot of painful losses in the near future.

It also means end of test cricket for India. None of the new players have any interest in test cricket and it shows when they play. They make far more money in IPL.
