To be fair, those didn't look like actual sewers to me--they didn't have sewage flowing through them. They seemed to be access tunnels to a district heating system. I think that's what they're called. We don't have many/any here in Portland. I'm not saying it doesn't suck to be be homeless anywhere, much less in Mongolia, but at least they have heat from the pipes and some privacy.
