I think I just puked in my mouth a little. On a related note, my father used to travel in east Asia quite a bit. Once, when he returned from the Phillipines, he told me about a product he had heard of called "Star Meat" that came in tins like tuna fish. What is Star Meat? Spell, "star" backwards.

Evidently you haven't read Amy Tan's The Hundred Secret Senses. It's actually a pretty good book. The protagonist and her husband visit her relatives in China and they are offered a bottle of pickle mouse wine. She tells him what it is. Ha ha, what a quaint name. After he drinks most of it he notices there's something in the bottom. What's that? Well, we told you....
