Why Republicans Didn't Show Up
Nov 14, 2008
You know, perhaps the Republican Party should have paid closer attention to John Hawkins's Right Wing News poll last year. One can't help but notice that John McCain been in the top 3 of the least popular national figures on the Right with the right-wing blogosphere since the poll first began in 2005.
Damn.
The Sarah Palin part at the end doesn't come as a surprise.
I'll bet that if Canadians were allowed to vote in American elections, then Obama would have won by a larger margin.
How do you feel about that?

My boss told me before the election that people in other countries wanted Obama to win the presidency.
"So they want him for our President. Would they want him running their countries?" I asked.
"Good point," he said.

That's not surprising for ideological reasons. Canada is a center-left country. Plus, it's largely anti-Iraq war. So, Obama would definitely have received a huge share of the Canadian vote.
An amusing aside: just last week a single woman at my workplace said, "I'm scared of Sarah."
