I've never been to a Wal-Mart but now I've a sudden desire.

Trust me, you don't. Most Wal-Marts are ugly, run-down, filled with very obnoxious people, stocked with cheap, crappy goods (for the love of all that is good, don't EVER buy their furniture unless you have to!) and their checkout lanes are only reasonably staffed on Black Friday and December 23-26. Not only that, but they really do have a tendency to ruin small towns. Parts of rural Virginia have seen their entire mainstreets decimated by a single Wal-Mart coming to town.

One more thing. One of the key reasons I buy from Target whenever I can, is that Target stocks a lot more goods that are made in America than Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart might as well be called the "People's Republic of China Outlet Store."
