At the risk of sounding like a troll, a big part of the reason that many feminists loathe her is that they're losers. They lack many of the things that she has, from looks, to accomplishments, to credibility with men through her ability vascillate between a home maker and a moose hunter. She epitomizes the reality that American men are generally comfortable with women as leaders, if they're actual leaders. The fact that men embrace her, and reject most feminists is proof of the fact that most feminists are just lacking.

I think it's that the left is supposed to be the champion of achieving women in America and she's on the wrong side. They can't stand it. They can't stand Rice either but they had to be a little bit more careful with her (not totally, remember Rice as Aunt Jemima?).
