Supporting the Troops
Jun 01, 2008
I say, if they can’t drink until 21, they can’t pick up guns and kill people either.
Good point. The drinking age ought to be lowered.
Our male troops are also rapists. They rape their fellow soldiers and the women of countries they invade. If your son is a person of ordinary moral strength, he will become a rapist. To me, that’s a sufficient reason to keep a recruiter away from your son.
She has quite a low opinion of men.
Make that, I have quite a low opinion of humans.
(Perhaps the drinking age is not the problem. Perhaps the "killing age" ought to be raised.)

"Make that, I have quite a low opinion of humans"
Oh, I see. So you think that female soldier go around raping people too, huh?
"Perhaps the 'killing age' ought to be raised"
Heh. Yes, making things illegal always solves the problem!
Reminds me of the issue we're having in Toronto, with the local government wanting to make all handguns illegal in order to stop people killing each other. Personally, I thought that making Murder illegal would be a much more direct way of addressing that problem, but for some reason the proponents of the ban don't even want to acknowledge me...

Well she's right, if the army she was talking about was Sudanese. But we have higher standards in the west.

Oddly I think Apostate's misandrony is cultural - not just because she grew up Muslim, but because she lives in San Francisco Bay area.
Men are not rapists for the most part in San Francisco, but they are hated. She's gone from a misogynistic culture to an misandronistic one.

My, that's sad.
Is she capable of knowing humanity, or are her senses so dulled in her own unconscious struggle for self-preservation that all members of mankind are assumed to be enemies or at least have hostile intent?
So sad. Even a pessimist knows (at the very least) humans are not that predictable.

By the way, I tried to comment on her blog that I imagine it's hard to maintain her perspective, but that she's gone from a misogynistic culture to a misandronistic one, and unfortunately fits in perfectly. And that her judgment of men is crazy.
She chose not to approve my comment.

The last time I heard an opinion like that about men was when a Canadian, Muslim, university professor of math wrote in the school newspaper that because Canadian coeds don't wear veils like in "civilized" Muslim nations and allowed male into their rooms, the should expect to get raped. He stated than males are completely unable to control their animal urges so they should not be put in that position by women.
This was well before 9-11 so the feminist lobby was far more powerful than the multiculturalism lobby and the guy eventually left, or was made to leave. The papers and radio stations played it as a complete issue of women's rights versus ethnic diversity. Not much notice was given to the fact that he had insisted that males are, by nature, subhuman so not much should be expected of them. Even less time was wasted actually arguing against the basic premise of subhuman status, just as to whether it constituted an excuse for rape and/or compulsory veiling.
I don't think she hates men so much as she is prejudicial towards them. She does, however, hate the military and if you told her that everyone who ever served in the military, with a handful of exceptions, had become cannibals she would probably believe it. After all, Jeffrey Dahmer was in the military briefly.

She made another post.
She stupidly equates the "macho culture" of the American military with the macho culture she grew up with, ie. middle eastern Muslims.
There's a huge difference between macho Muslims who think god gave them the duty to beat women and blame all of their sexual responses on women, and macho Christian culture which give men which puts the onus of self-control on the self where it belongs.
She's raging and out of her depth making stupid equivalences.

She also, in her new post, gives the example of a soldier who raped his baby daughter as proof that the Army is macho and teaches rape. BOGGLE!
In Christian culture, being a nonse, pedophile etc. is not macho. This guy's army buddies aren't gonna be congratulating him over this "conquest" that's for sure.

She's also simply trolling in her comment section.
She only approves comments that she has simple put downs for and does not approve those that have actual arguments in them.
Ugly. Very ugly.

Her new troll is here: http://apostate.wordpress.com/2008/06/02/supporting-the-troops-some-more/
But warning. If you make an actual argument she won't approve your comment. She's going for simple put downs. She's nothing but a troll.

One of the comments she censored I pointed out that her argument that Abu Guraib proves the American Army equivalent to the Sudanese (!) as Macho rapists is stupid, where in that case the victims where MEN who a-hem DID'T get raped and in the other case the entire government supported Janjaweed forces rape and slaughter villagers en mass. Hmm I can't see any difference, can you?

Cafe Alpha: I'm afraid she won in the debate.
She said: "I’m winning this argument because I’m right and this is my blog. You can’t win. The territory is not yours."
And the convincing addition: "Plus, you have a small penis."
I think someone is envious.
Seriously, given the evidence, it's fruitless to leave comments at her blog. You're always welcome to leave them here.

She's turned herself into something ugly since she's decided that censoring arguments rather than answering them is "winning". Pathetic.
