Many Iranians Don't Like Islam (For Some Weird Reason)
Mar 19, 2008
AKI via Dhimmi Watch:
In its first session since last week's general elections, the new Iranian parliament is expected to discuss a law that will condemn to death anyone who decides to leave the Muslim faith and convert to other religions.
You see, the present punishment is just way too light:
Currently converts, particularly those who have decided to leave the Muslim faith for Evangelical churches, are arrested and then released after some years of detention.
Islam is losing the battle quite badly:
According to unofficial sources, in the past five years, one million Iranians, particularly young people and women, have abandoned Islam and joined Evangelical churches.
The solution offered by the Religion of PeaceTM: Let's kill those Christians!
One thing I will never forgive the Islam world for is that they put me in a position where I actually feel good about Christians evangelizing the planet. We used the Soviets to help counter the Nazis, we used the Islamists to counter the Soviets, now the Evangelists are being used to counter the Islamists. It is not that any of these choices was wrong but they are far from ideal.

Considering the fact that it was the Reformed Protestant tradition that gave rise to the liberal culture you enjoy, you ought to reevaluate your disgust for that tradition. The fruits of modern secularism and Islam are equally as violent and oppressive when compared with the socio-political ideas that came out of the Reformation.
