Where's My Money!?

Here's a lovely title: Ayaan Hirsi Ali: Neocon in Black Face.
The young, attractive Somali woman has become a darling of the American corporate media. Ayaan Hirsi Ali started out as a heroine to a portion of the Dutch public, who rewarded her with a parliamentary seat for denouncing all things Muslim. Apparently, flagellating one's own non-white, non-Christian people is a sure route to success in Europe, just like in the U.S.
How does one respond to such asininity?
Well, here's how I responded:
Islam's law, and its treatment of women and non-Muslims are unutterably savage. If that's what Ayaan is attacking and you're defending, she's on the side of the angels and you're...not.
Islam must be quarantined away from the civilized world, or there will cease to be a civilized world.

She's not a particularly big defender of freedom. Just another one of those people who sees any religious presence in politics as some sort of vile influence. She said that she plans to fight the Christian religious right in America the way that she fought the Islamists in Europe when she lives here. A short, but good, critique of her can be found here.

"Just another one of those people who sees any religious presence in politics as some sort of vile influence."
Given that politics is about setting laws, compelling behavior and manipulating people via sophistries and other foolishness to aggregate power and influence and pursue ideological agendas, any addition of religion into that mix is a vile influence. Show me a politician that seeks to mix his faith with his political career and I will show you an individual who seeks to manipulate his co-religionists by pandering to their insecurities or placate his own insecurities via social engineering.
As for here heroism, she could have kept her story to herself and avoided half of the death threats by going into hiding, never to tell anyone she was once a Muslim. She would not have had to live inside a security cocoon for the rest of her life but she decided to speak up so that people could see what apostates from Islam have to go through.
Maybe MikeT could explain what he has done in comparison that makes him an expert on heroism.
As for Margaret (If-I-don't-like-your-opinion-you're-not-black*) Kimberley, the the media I have seen treat Ayaan Hirsi Ali like she is something they scraped off their shoe and brought out for everyone to laugh at. Kimberley herself will not even give her the respect of referring to her as an ex-Muslim:
"She has become well paid and famous because she demonizes her fellow Muslims."
*Does that actually work? Given how often blacks are told that their identity depends on their adherence to proper leftist policy, I often wonder if it is really that successful a method of controlling them or if the black left is just as divorced from reality as the Kennedys and Kerrys of the world.
