James Arlandson: Why I don't convert to Islam.

He provides his reasoning from a Christian perspective. Still, the end result is quite devastating. A small excerpt:

This hadith shows Muhammad hitting his girl—bride, Aisha, daughter of Abu Bakr, his right—hand Companion:

'He [Muhammad] struck me [Aisha] on the chest which caused me pain.' (Muslim no. 2127)

Dear Muslim emailer, Quran—inspired domestic violence is completely unacceptable to me, and the many links below refute any attempt at whitewashing the dark clarity of this verse. For me, this is reason enough not to convert to Allah's religion.

Nothing screams PERFECT MORALITY like hitting your pre-teen wife.

James Arlandson argument is not devastating, it's hilarious because everything negative he sees in Islam, you can see the same and worse in the Bible, like stoning your children for disobedience and selling your daughters into slavery.

If James was an athiest, he still would be in no position to preach to Muslims. Bombing coutries and stealing their natural resources is nothing to be proud of. Exploiting slave labor and going on "sex tours" in poor countries to exploit women and children is nothing to be proud of either.

That's funny, especially the part where it's not true, which is why people who study and follow the Bible don't marry and then beat pre-pubescent little girls.
