I hear that the prophet (peanut butter upon him) had the same trouble. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise when he demanded that Allah get a fifth of all booty off the top. Talk about taking lemons and making lemon-aid. Now, it is hard to find a free English copy of the Hadith (especially audio - since it is really hard to read theology without falling asleep) so I am going by second hand sources here but that is how I heard that he dealt with looting and plundering.
