Holy fucking shit!
I thought that I was beyond being shocked.
Is it just me or do those "condolences" sound significantly more hateful the killer's own ravings?

"Holy fucking shit!"
That was basically what my mind repeated after 9/11.
I don't think most Americans realize the extent of the sick euphoria in Islamic nations over the calamities in the US -- both natural and human.
I still remember watching (in Saudi Arabia) a fascinating show about tornadoes in the US. My mom said, "See, serves them right. It's punishment from Allah. That's what they get for being infidels."
I thought: well, a few die from tornadoes and earthquakes in the infidel world....but when a freakin' tsunami, flood or an earthquake hits Islamic lands, tens of thousands perish.
Is Allah trying to tell us something?
Anyway, this is also partly the reason why most Muslims won't fight against the terrorists who target the West. Why oppose something (or someone) who brings so much joy to you?

That's a great example. It illustrates that we're hated because Muslims actually believe Islam. I don't know why people don't get that.

I put my head in my hands and groaned when I read that.

Members of the mailing list for the student Muslim community at Virginia Tech are up in arms that one of their members dared ask them to pray to Allah for non-Muslim victims of the massacre.
...
According to Aafaq, the dean of student affairs at American International University, Abu Hamza Hijji, responded, writing that Allah the Most Merciful forbids praying for mercy for the non-Muslim dead, or even for the non-Muslim living, and that it is only permitted to pray that they be rightly guided [DS: convert to Islam]. He added that what happened was a sad occurrence, but that does not give Muslims the right to transgress the laws of Allah the Most Merciful.

Josh Scholar: This post of mine deals with the same mindset.
