I plan on watching it later this week in the IMAX format. I thought about going on the first day but then one has to show up an hour or so before show time to get a good seat.
Hopefully the traffic will be low when I go.

Wow. I saw it twice already. Went the first time with a buddy about 4 days after it came out, and the theatre was only half full. Then my younger sister started begging me to take her, so I caved and went a second time. That time the theatre was almost empty.

Oh, I should have been clear, when I mentioned the waiting time, I was specifically talking about the IMAX theatre. I could have watched 300 on any Monday or Tuesday on a regular cinema screen with 75%+ empty seats. (Yeah I know, I'm spoiled.)
