Brainiac, Darkseid or Doomsday?

Superman Returns just made two hundred million dollars in the US market. Now, a most spectacular follow-up is given the green light:

The website adds that Superman will have the "battle of his life" in the sequel while facing off with "one of the ultimate baddies" in the DC Comics universe.

Though the story for Brainiac was possibly set in motion in Superman Returns, my preference would be Darkseid... misery against hope... an alien threat vs. the immigrant savior... a battle of the gods!

I can dream.

By the way, a small suggestion for Singer and his team: Please, bring back the classic, iconic, colors; do away with the washed out, depressing, outfit.
