The Time is Set
Sep 08, 2006
My hearing will be in early 2007. One judge will listen to my case and decide whether I should be granted refugee status here in Canada or be deported to the lovely nation of Pakistan.
Tomorrow, I'll provide more details about my trip and the meeting. I only got a little over three hours of sleep last night during which I had the most vivid and the wackiest dream of my life. I'll share that as well.
Thank you all for your support, prayers, and comments.
Best of luck, Isaac!

Thank you for the update. Get plenty of rest - you deserve it. I look forward to hearing about your experience.

Now it all comes down to one judge and the law. Let us hope and pray that means justice wins.

What Pastorius said - I was thinking earlier today if you could do some research as to who the judge may be. Maybe you can tailor your case accordingly.
What about taking snippets of shari'ah - what the imams have decreed, what the hadith and sunnah say - to show why Muslims would feel obligated to act the way they would. And what about examples outside of Pakistan? Do you want to bring up the example of Ahmadis?
I don't mean to clutter up your comments section.

Muslihoon, your comments (of all sizes) are always welcome.
I will see if I can find out who the judge is. And indeed, I will also make a stronger case by using Sharia, the words of imams and the actions of Muslims in the recent past.

Yes I was thinking the same thing. Couldn't you try to find comments made by leading Muslim figures in Pakistan? Wouldn't that be useful?
Also: I will post about this at Liberty and Justice for you and it will be on top throughout the entire weekend. I will also post it at other blogs and ask others to spend attention to it. Perhaps you will be able to receive more useful information like that, or at least signs of support.
