The Evil Regime
Jul 19, 2006
Exactly one year ago, two teenagers were hanged in Iran.
Their crime? Homosexuality.
365gay.com: "... prior to their execution, the teenagers were held in prison for 14 months, severely beaten and given the lash 228 times."
Update
Direland has more information:
There will be vigils and demonstrations on July 19 in 25 cities around the world -- including 10 in the U.S.
And since it wasn't the Israelis who killed them, hardly anyone notices or cares. But it they'd been killed by the Zionists? Holy Crap, you wouldn't be able to escape the coverage.

No, we wouldn't. Though, a modern Western society would never engage in such barbarity.
It's a strange world where idiotic American soldiers who mock Iraqi prisoners get more coverage than:
1. Women who are stoned to death in Iran for adultery.
2. Those who are hanged in Saudi Arabia for the possession of alcohol.
Things that wouldn't even deserve jail time in the West could get one killed in an Islamic nation. (Another example: me.)

'a modern Western society would never engage in such barbarity.'
I meant something like an errant missile strike or something. Anyway, it is amazing the double standards that apply. For example the Lebanon thing right now, the heaps of shit falling on Israel's head because they've killed a hundred or more, all innocent of course. Show me half the same shit poured on the Sudanese for Darfur.
I've been thinking of writing an essay comparing the Turks and the Zionists over the past 125 years or so, to show the double standards applied to Israel.
