I am stunned that anybody would say anything about these pictures after all the pictures we've seen showing Palestinian toddlers decked out in suicide belts and children going through military drills. Surreal.

Indeed. Practically every anti-Israeli pundit / blogger has taken these photos to mean that Israel has lost its soul.
To me, these snapshots are endearing. These girls are writing messages for the thug-in-chief of Hezballah, not civilians. The Palestinians, however, teach their kids to be "martyrs" by blowing up Jews--preferably lots of unprotected civilians.
Somehow, with years of hatred, the Palestinians can continue with their "moral," and "historical" claims while with a few photos, the Israelis have flushed their humanity.
This only demonstrates just how out of whack and disingenuous these critics really are.
