If It's Good, It's Haraam

Kaleidomuslima:
I’ve noticed through my own experience (and that of my dh’s) that sometimes it’s just hard to be friends with Muslims. I never really understood why I have always felt (well, with some people more than others) that there is this underlying tension when we’re all supposed to be relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.
Her post doesn't contain any material regarding political or public matters. It's all about the little things and it really shows just how asinine the rules and regulations are in Islam.
You might guffaw at the utter backwardness and dimness but it's a true way of life for many Muslims.
Isaac, please review one June 10th post titled "Pic of Dead Zarqawi, Against Muslim Faith?" Comment for clarity...
Thank you

Gee Isaac, you are beginning to make me wonder whether I should go thru on my plans to "revert" to Islam. :)
But seriously folks, Orthodox Jews are no less obsessed with rules, and they still have that great Jewish sense of humour.
So with that factor excluded, what gives?
My own theory is that Islam is just a pill religion, that's all. It's a total pill. The Quran is garbage: damn damn damn hell hell hell, totally incoherent, total garbage, whereas the Bible is, at least, great literature, full of interesting characters, wordplay and action. Over generations it breeds pill people: robots.
My 2 cents.

"Over generations it breeds pill people: robots." meaning the Quran, not the Bible.
