I just checked my site meter and noticed that I've had more than 1300 hits today. That's odd considering my daily average is under 200. I checked the referrals and instantly knew the reason. People from Europe, especially Denmark, are searching for "Muhammed" in Google Images and a pic from my blog is showing up as the fifth link.

It's ironic that the blog of an ex-Muslim is getting the most hits from people searching for "Muhammed" (PUBH).

Don't give in to the psychotic thugs and regimes of the Muslim world. These are the same people who keep half their population as slaves, hang homosexuals, behead alcohol consumers, treat kids with utter cruelty, "think" that Jews rule the world, and celebrate when Westerners are ruthlessly murdered. And yet they're offended by a few harmless cartoons.

Once upon of time a French scientist ( August Comte ) founded a philosophical/naturalistic tradition called Positivism. The way a small number of muslims act, they are making caricatures of themselves much better than any printed image of Muhammed ever could.

Having lived in Denmark for nearly 5 years (I have since left), in my experience, Danes are passively racist, meaning they are generally ignorant of of other cultures and generally exclude socially those who are not Danish.

Howeve, they are not aggressively racist and are will, in general just let people get on with their lives whatever heir religion, culture etc.

Either way, they're just cartoons, the muslims that HAVE reacted in such a violent way really need to get a grip and grow up and enter the 21st century.

Anyway, while I didn't really like living in Denmark and am not really a fan of Danish culture in general, they are being treated unfairly and I hope this all blows over soon so life can get back to normal.

Hello from Denmark!

I just can't seem to understand what it is that makes all these people react the way they do. With violence and burning flags and hatred and anger...
The media in Denmark have revealed that it is the so called Imamer (don't know the english word) that have been telling their minions lies about Denmark. I mean these people believe in everything they're told, and they believe it so hard that they turn to violence to get rid of their anger.

I guess that's just what you get in return for 1000 of years of oppresion.

Most people here in Denmark have stopped following this matter because it is impossible to keep up with the news around the world. To tell the truth most of the people i see every day thinks that these riots all over the muslim world is kinda funny. Now they've even begun killing eachother because of stupid drawings of some profet...

This saturday we had a massive 160+ people arrested (that's a lot i Denmark) because some small muslim leader-of-the-pack-guy claimed to have knowledge of planned burning of their holy book. The average age of the muslims who participated in these riots were under 18 and didn't actually look like they had a clue about what was going on... They just showed up and (fortunately) got arrested for bad behaviour.

My general view of muslims has certainly decreased a lot these past 14 days, and I would be lying if I said that I though highly of them before!

Let them mind their own business... eventually they will kill eachother - one way or another - and when they do I will clap my hands in joy!

I find it Disturbing...

That almost all of the information I see, and hear, regarding those things which offend Muslims, seem always to be directly related to the prophet Mohammed, and not to God the Father. Why don't they get upset when God the Father is depicted in art or media disrespectfully?

As I understand it, Muslims recognize (in this order) Abraham, Ishmael, and Moses, as their Forefathers, and Jesus, and Mohammed - Both - as Prophets of God.

So how about Jesus? they claim to recognize Jesus as a prophet as well, but don't get violent when he is depicted negatively, or verbally Blasphemed.

It seems - to my limited intellectual understanding of Islam - that it's followers are placing the Prophet Mohammed on a higher pedestal than Jesus - his "fellow Prophet" and more importantly - above God himself. It's "Mohammed worship". Not Worship of God the Father. It appears to me to be a form of Idolatry. Worshipping the man, not the God who he was sent to represent.
As for me...I'll worship God Himself. He alone is worthy of our praise.

Unbelievable... I refuse to believe everyone is placing blame on a religion or a country as a whole in either case.

Though not a muslim and for someone who knows very little about it, the cartoons were offensive. Not so much because of the depiction (as deplorable and unfunny as it was) but more because it was chosen to be publicised during a very sensitive period of anti-Muslim/middle east sentiment. It was as if was published to provoke a reaction. And although this may have been very bad judgement of a shallow-thinking editor, the ruling party's determination and unapologetic backing of such sentiment is what's eating at the heart of most observers.

This in no way justifies the reaction of the Islamic community, but just the way bad decisions of our government do not necessarily reflect the views of it's citizens, neither should the bad decisions of some extremists.
