One of the things I've always found fascinating about Cole is that he repeatedly lamblasts anyone who dares to challenge his academic expertise on the Arab world because he lived there and speaks Arabic, yet Cole has never been to Israel, speaks no Hebrew, and often ends up sounding like a state-run Arab newspaper on the subject during his periodic denunciations of the Jewish state.
