Sharia is Alive in Afghanistan
VOA News (via Michelle Malkin):
An Afghan man who recently admitted he converted to Christianity faces the death penalty under the country's strict Islamic legal system. The trial is a critical test of Afghanistan's new constitution and democratic government.
The case is attracting widespread attention in Afghanistan, where local media are closely monitoring the landmark proceedings.
I wrote about the Islamic treatment of ex-Muslims last year. I concluded the essay thusly:
Terror, both psychological and physical, is the very soul of Islam. For what would you say to "continue to believe or die"?
Even the post-Taliban Afghanistan can't overcome this fact.

It is sheer and shallow approach of those people who are ignorant of relevant knowledge. Religion has own priorities and peculiarities. There are only two religions on the face of earth where conversion is allowed. One cannot be Jew, because they do not believe in conversion. Islam believes in rationalism and explicitly says, those who do not ponder and think about are worst than beast, they are worst than animals.
Do you believe that George Bush categorically, said, I was told by God to carry on attack against Iraq and many people who believed in Christianity accepted his version and supported him to go ahead. One side, you people have divorced religion from politics and other side when need is felt it is exploited to get cheap benefits.

Cheap benefits? Oh, now that's a deep argument. And while your statement about Jews is true of Orthodox believers, many Jews, indeed most American Jews, are liberal in their beliefs and do allow for outsiders to convert. As do the Buddhists, Wiccans, Mormons, and countless others inscluding the Muslims (if you'll remember the early 1990's.)
Islam believes in rationalism, does it? If killing a Christian for being a Christian is an example of their reason, then as far as I'm concerned, to steal your quote--they are "worse than animals".
