Bangladeshis: Too Hot for Malaysia

Sepia Mutiny:

I’m sure that today, all over Dhaka, Bangladeshi college students are walking around, catching reflections of their butts in shop windows, and comparing each other to movie stars. “Dude! You so look like SRK! I’m not kidding man, you really do! You’ve got the same blue eyes as he has!”

The King doesn't have blue eyes, you doofuses! (doofi?)

I wonder if I could make it in Malaysia. Perhaps, the folks there won't be intimidated by my oh-so-ordinary hazel eyes.

Well sepia mutiny probably knows that SRK doesnt have blue eyes. He wrote it down because malaysian PM said "they have blue eyes. they look like bollywood starts".
On another note even after all the noise about everyone being equal in Isl_m, human nature remains teh same. Khalifat is just a utopia like communism. in the immortal words of Commisar Danilov(Enemy at the gates)

"I've been such a fool, Vassili. Man will always be a man. There is no new man. We tried so hard to create a society that was equal, where there'd be nothing to envy your neighbour. But there's always something to envy. A smile, a friendship, something you don't have and want to appropriate. In this world, even a Soviet one, there will always be rich and poor. Rich in gifts, poor in gifts. Rich in love, poor in love."

Oh I know that Sepia Mutiny was kidding. Those folks have likely watched DDLJ, KKHH and numerous other SRK movies and thus know the eye color of Shah Rukh. I was just putting another layer of joke on top.

Regarding the "Muslims are equal" part in Islam, you're right about that. For example, during Haj, at the mosque in Makkah (the Khaana Kaaba) the Muslims are all equal in the eyes of Allah. However, as soon as they leave the mosque, the Arabs segregate the tents along racial lines. I once saw a documentary where a black, Western, Muslim was awestruck by the mosque, and later brought down to earth when he wanted to enter a tent that just happened to have an Arab majority -- he was adamantly refused entry.

A tent with Africans openly accepted him.
