I Torch, Therefore I am
Mohammed Rezzoug, caretaker of the municipal gymnasium and soccer field, knows far more about the youths hurling firebombs and torching cars on the streets of this Paris suburb than do the police officers and French intelligence agents struggling to nail the culprits.
You just know that some whacky analysis is going to follow.
"They're my kids," said Rezzoug, a garrulous 45-year-old with thinning black hair and skin the color of a walnut.
Wait for it.
"It's not a political revolution or a Muslim revolution," said Rezzoug. "There's a lot of rage. Through this burning, they're saying, 'I exist, I'm here.' "
[Emphasis mine]
These people have got some serious self-esteem issues. Look on the bright side; all they want is their own Islamist enclaves! The French can keep on using their stadiums for soccer and the Islamists (who happen to be in France) will use their stadiums for, um, a different purpose. It's a win-win!
Wretchard offers his thoughts on the failed French (apologies for repeating myself) strategy:
What de Villepin's planning probably missed was that the millet system plus the Internet formed a combination that would go through the 21st century "impassable Ardennes" like s..t through a goose.
The Frogs have a tendency to be a war behind.

Well, they are not telling us that riots also broke out in other European countries. I had to hear about it on radio.
Oh, it has since spread to inside Paris itself. This will be day ten.

DAY 11 and burning ... and Chirac was going to return France to its former (a long time ago former) glory ...

I have never heard the term youths so much in my life! Everyone, including, FNC is using it constantly to discribe the rioters. Muslims from Africa is what they are and the tern "youth" us extremely subjective. Do they think people will believe this is some kind fo youth revolution?
Why aren't they reporting about the fact that riots have broken ouot in other countries in Europe?
