I think that practically everyone knows that the Nazis are the gold standard of evil. But this evil is only known by most young people today in an abstract sense.

Let me give a modern analogy. Most young Canadians I talk to have said that if the Afghanis and Iraqis really wanted freedom, then they would've risen up and achieved it. Hence the US going there to spread liberty is useless because the Afghanis and Iraqis don't want freedom. These Canadians simply do not know the reality of living in a fascist/Islamist/police state. In fact, most don't know what a fascist, an Islamist or a police state is and how it operates. Now, they're extremely fortunate that they haven't lived in one. They're also sadly ignorant. They're more likely to call President Bush evil than the Islamists.

I know this present and gathering evil since I've lived in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. After living in the West, I could taste the totalitarianism everytime my plane landed at the Saudi airport. I try to, in my small way, verify what the few brave Westerners say about this global menace. A few also warned the world about the dangers of Nazism till it was too late. Yet here we have a princess who thinks that wearing a Nazi uniform is cool. History doesn't repeat itself but it does rhyme.
